Summary

Young Karen was abducted by a dark sorcerer at birth and sacrificed at a demon god's altar, only to be rescued by four legendary warriors. For sixteen years, these four "grandparents" raised him in the Forbidden Forest, yet they constantly undermined his confidence, leading him to believe he was a "mediocre, useless wretch." In truth, a boundless core of pure light lay dormant within his body. Prologue: Karen completed the mountain trial by hand-to-hand combat against a demon dragon. On her way down, she anonymously saved the elven princess Lilian and a group of civilians about to be sacrificed, yet remained masked to conceal her identity. Mid-term: After entering the Sacred Magic Academy, he modestly enrolled as a "third-grade dud," yet repeatedly faced provocations from the nobleman Thomas. Lillian recognized him as the savior who had once saved her life through the scent of light and took the initiative to approach him, helping him uncover his origins. During the academy's grand competition, Karen revealed her potential, and in the library, he discovered his true identity—the academy's director, Os, who had abandoned his own father by choosing to save Thomas that fateful day. Os felt remorseful, but Karen refused to acknowledge the connection. Later: Thomas, consumed by jealousy, turned to the leader of the Dark Magicians, Howard, and drank the blood of the Demon God, drastically increasing his power.
