Summary

After transferring to high school, 17-year-old Emma falls for notorious bad boy Michael Black. She soon discovers she’s bound to an arranged marriage with wealthy Lucas by a childhood contract set by her family for business gain. Caught between genuine love and family pressure, Emma faces manipulation from Lucas and Michael’s bitter ex Bella. A series of misunderstandings, kidnappings and legal threats tear the couple apart repeatedly. With help from her brother Robert, all illegal schemes of Lucas and his father are exposed, clearing the lovers’ way to escape to California. Lucas finally cancels the engagement. Michael proposes to Emma, and the two reconcile with Emma’s regretful parents. They hold a seaside wedding and live a peaceful, happy life with their future baby a year later, proving true love can break all restrictive chains.
