Summary

For four centuries, the Seven Holy Cities have relied on the Covenant for healing, power, and protection—while unknowingly surrendering their freedom to the Church. Searching for her missing mother, Elara joins forces with the knight Rowan and uncovers a terrifying truth: her mother, Marlene, is the key to the entire Covenant system, while Rowan is the "stable vessel" meant to awaken the ancient dragon Valgrenn. When the three Dragon Embers unite and the dragon rises, Elara must sever the Root Covenant as Rowan fights to destroy the Embers within himself.
